Re: Wagon rear springs?? and the site is back 200 80

I replaced the rear springs and shocks in my '85 DL wagon (140K). I bought the IPD overload springs ($96.00) and Boge automatic shocks ($35.00 a piece) -- took it down to the local gas station and told them to have at. The rear springs were totally shot and the car would jump all over the road when encountering any kind of bump, which in Washington DC means -- all the time. The new shocks and springs dramatically improved the handling and ride of the car, so much so that I recently put new shocks in the front as well (Boge automatic). Shox.com seems to have the best prices on shocks. One thing to think about: if you are going going to replace the rear springs and shocks, you might as well do the bushings as well. You can get a set from IPDUSA.com for about $200. I haven't replaced those yet, but they're next on my list to keep this tank in operation.

Good luck
