I have already posted my Volvo in the classifieds section of the site, but I wonder if I could solicite anyone's advice?
Having purchased a new car, I now need to (with pain and suffering) get rid of my dear '82 DL wagon. Unless someone is willing to take it for parts, or put some money into it (at least 2000$) I fear it is going to the crusher. Perhaps this sounds ridiculous, but after the many years of reliable and loyal service, my own psych (and selfish ego I suppose) can't handle the thought of such a horrendous fate. So I'm attached to the car, so what? Lets not get into why I didn't fix it, THAT'S a bone of contention we don't need to chew.
So my question is this. I live in the Boston area. Does anyone out there know of a mechanic who needs a parts car, or a yard that is specifically geared to Volvos? If I have to send it to the graveyard, does anyone know of a Volvo graveyard near to me?
Thanks very much. I know its stupid, but I want it to go to be useful, not just to rot. I think it's my own guilt.
