Re: monster size leak 200 82

There are only a couple of places it could in all probability be leaking:

-water pump and water pump seal

-heater tubes along the side of the engine

-heater hoses or water valve behind the engine

-thermostat housing or hoses

-head gasket or freeze plug (not likely)

Sometimes the leak is tough to trace because it doesn't leak fast enough to show a stream, but instead runs along engine components and shows up elsewhere. This is a good reason to clean the engine compartment every so often in order to be able to see leaks of coolant, oil etc.

The easiest solution is to take it to an indy shop (Ames Ultimate, Ron's Auto, Cartech, etc.) and have them pressurize the system and find the leak. Or just fill it with coolant, let the engine warm up and look hard with a strong lamp.
