My mildly modded 142 Balanced, Blueprinted B20E (ports blocked), Minor porting, Schneider 270 cam (110 LSA), Oversize Ferrea Intakes, Double Valve Springs, .060 overbore, Elring head gasket (10.4:1) finally runs pretty damn well on a 123 Programmable tween 15 and 30 BTDC, idling at about 1100 RPM ON PARKER misadvised Mikuni HSR45's.... AFR read 14 at idle, 12.2 midthrottle,11.8 full; plugs look rather clean after a hard joyride
A friend offered to sell me a pair of lovely polished HS6's with unknown needles and springs for 400 bucks...
Would look really pretty on the intake I spent hours polishing ten years ago...
POWER loss or gain? One caveat in favor of SU's...the momentary blip coming off idle, and float bowls that weep after shutdown in summer... that I haven't conquered on the Mikuni's...
Just nitpicking....the SU's would look really PRETTY!
