Reliability of 1999 V70 S90-V90

Sadly, I lost my beloved '88 740 turbo wagon in a car accident 2 weeks ago. Although insurance stated total loss, this car will be a goldmine to somebody somewhere for parts, having just replaced the master cylinder, front calipers and all 4 brakes, etc...OUCH! Now looking at used Volvos and, although hard to find in my price range, I have a 1999 V70 in mind Engine replaced with 186k miles, body 197k. Sweet ride, everything working; (ac!) and I am so tempted...$2400. I have read that these cars are prone to oil leakage, but wouldn't that most likely be a result of a clogged PCV system? I know to check for when timing belt was changed and to check ac compressor, head gasket, motor mounts and valve stem seals.(I am ignorant; this is all google research) Are there any other issues I should be aware of, and is this considered a decent Volvo model? I was familiar with the old 240s and 740s; this is all new territory for me. Any advice or suggestions much appreciated!
