B18 90 hp Engine 120-130 1963

Hello,

We rebuild 3-4 Volvo B18/B20 engines every year. Most of the time we install them, but on occasion we ship them.

Right now we're in the middle of building a B18 and a B20.

It is not cheap to do a thorough rebuild. We charge $3000.00 for a basic stock rebuilt B18 or B20 and below is a list of parts and operations that are done during 1 of our normal engine rebuilds.

Crack check block, cylinder head & crankshaft
Check main journals for straightness
Bore & hone engine
Surface cylinder head & block deck
Replace cam bearings
Turn crankshaft, polish rear main seal surface or install repair sleeve
Replace wrist pin bushings
Ck rods for straightness & resize big end
Weight match rod & piston assemblies
New rod nuts
Balance rotating assembly
Rebuild cylinder head w/unleaded conversion with new exhaust seats
New valves, valve guides & valve springs
New piston set w/new wrist pins & rings(Mahle if possible)
New main, rod & cam bearings
New wrist pin bushings
New camshaft(D) & lifter set
New steel timing gear set
Front & rear neoprene crankshaft seal conversion
New oil pump w/reinforcing ring
Rebuilt rocker shaft assembly
New water pump & thermostat
New freeze/core plugs, cam plug & oil galley plugs
New engine gaskets
Assemble engine & check all clearances
Oil filter
Engine bolt kit, Does not include head bolts
