I know I can remove the garage door opener settings when I sell the car(MB GL320) and remove the stored locations on the NAV. But, there is no way to remove the phone settings or trips I made without the NAV in use.

It would be ''nice" to have a delete function to erase all of the data on the computer in one fell swoop. Similar to the Format option in my camera.

This is why carb'ed engines are so nice, no computer, no sensors. It will start with a dead battery, and run. A manual choke is great, providing you don't forget to push it in after the engine warms up. Most cars have room for a map or two.
