AW70 to AW71L swap 200 1992

I have just purchased an AW71L transmission which came off an accident-damaged 940 with about 150K miles on it. It wasn't expensive, and was a fun day out to go and get from the seller, who lives in a remote and scenic area. My question is, should I simply change the rear seal, fill it up with fluid and switch it out for the AW70 in my beautiful '92 240 wagon? Or should I have it rebuilt -- perhaps at least the valve body? The AW70 in my wagon shifts fine, but I do a fair bit of cruising over 50mph, and I like the idea of the lockup torque converter. My second 240, a '90 sedan shifts a little hard from 1st to 2nd, but is only used for dirty jobs/exposure to salt water from Kayaks on the roof. Maybe I should put the AW71L in this one? Its AW70 has shifted about the same for 7 years without getting worse. Decisions, decisions... what do you think?
