Yes, on the 1980 it is a relatively easy and straightforward job. I have used either 22mm or 7/8" box end wrenches, slipping them over the wire after it has been disconnected. Deep offset types provide a bit better clearance from the firewall. Also, when installing the new one, don't forget to use as small amount of anti-size on the new sensor threads. Be careful to NOT get the anti-seize on the sensor portion.
