How long have you owned the 740?

Our '90 744 TI did the same thing - our NA '90 745 was fine.

When I opened the thermostat housing, I found that the thermostat had been pushed open and cocked to stay open - then I found that the electric fan was siezed!

I had two 850 thermostats fail open the cars would warm up, then cool on the highway.
