Mystery Wire 200 1984

I have been unable to identify a black wire with insulated connectors located above the Electronic Control Unit plug. One end of the wire runs from the lower passenger side firewall. I could not determine if it was running from the engine compartment (suspected) or the upper dash. The wire is 18 gauge with insulated 16/14 spade connectors. I have looked in my Green Wiring Diagram Book and other sources and have been unable to figure this one out. Thanks, Andrew
