Tried some new M5 screws and they would start and then go about 1 turn before they tried to seize. Hole threads are clean. Discovered the screws that hold the chrome trim on the nose of the hood seem to be the correct size but they are too short. I suppose I could drill and tap to a #10 or #12 but I hate to invite potential problems.
