Battery Powered Impact Drivers

hi uncle dan- that may be a very good point. my electric drills, saws, etc have not had any problems with their old tech of brush motors. hf may very well use this old tech, but not sure brushless is necessarily better. what is the advantage of brushless motors in these tools? do know that newer tech sometimes is worse than what it replaced. two examples that come to mind in personal experience are the interference engine where a failed timing belt wrecks the engine and the hydraulic actuated clutch w/internal slave cylinder where the cylinder leaks and leads to a full clutch job(lever and cable clutches were better). what think you? thanks tons oldduke
