thinking about a cam (or two?)

I've been driving my '91 245 with LH3.1/M47 for 5 years this fall. I've gradually brought it back to "mile 0" configuration, aside from the timing belt which is due again in about 3K miles. Overall, it's a nice car for a DD, but the thing is I want (need?) a little more zip (especially if I sell my V8 wagon--another story).

I picked up a free T cam and a cheap B cam, so thought I would try swapping one or the other in when I do the timing belt, etc. Based on everything I've read (lots of threads, here and on TB site) I'm leaning towards the B cam--at least for starters (sound OK?) Will likely do an adjustable cam gear at the same time so I can change the timing on the cam if needed (ipd a good adjustable gear?). I figure if worst comes to worst, I can buy a VX cam and copy vvpete's set-up.

Speaking of that; I have a set of B234F 16V injectors like he has on his LH3.1 car. I was going to put those in if/when I did a VX cam, but if the B works okay, then that may be a while. Will the 16V injectors provide any benefits with either the T or B cams (which ever I use)?

Thanks in advance!

Steve A-
