I confirmed I have the correct cluster in car.
Both small clock and volts gauges are unplugged at this time.
Car starts right up when jumped, jumper cables then removed
car runs fine for a few minutes then dies because
it loses it battery charge.
As per in the FAQ section I ran a wire from the positive battery
post through a small cluster size bulb to the small wire on the
alternator but the bulb did not light with the engine off or on.
After removing the cluster again to check it's bulbs I did find
that the "Brake Warning" bulb is burnt. Could such a small bulb
out really be the problem?
In the morning I will check my ground cable from the alternator.
On this cluster the second spot for a warning light has a white dummy plug
instead of a bulb and socket? What will happen if you put a socket and bulb
in that spot?
Any advice is greatly appreciated,
