Like Uncle oldduke says ....
I'd rather change it myself and drain from the bottom. With great care not to futz up the drain plug to oil pan thread interface. And check the copper or other washer for distortion and compression. Keep a few oil pan drain drain plug washers on hand. Torque properly.
If you have automatic transmission, a little easier to get at the filter from underneath.
Also, the drain plug with the magnetic load seems a fine thing. Though I'd be utterly freaked out should anything metal be on the drain plug with magnet.
15W40 engine oil? Are you using dino mineral oil or synthetic oil? Seems kind of heavy for the 240 engine.
Then again I used 15W40 Mobile 1 synthetic. After reading many articles here on your brickboard.com about engine oil in overhead cam redblocks, I use the Mobile 1 10W40 year round, now.
All my 240s are manual transmission, so I use the Fram PH-8A filter or equivalent. Larger filter area and the check valve does not ever fail, so the oil filter remains full after engine shut off. (Though I know, we should use the Mann or Wix, as most folks here use.)
Hope that helps.
