AW70 shifting cold 700

Recently acquired a 745 B23F, done a bunch of catchup maintenance to the wagon after deciding that i wanted to use the wagon as a daily driver (the gas mileage is pretty good with the utility of a wagon, as it sure beats my truck) instead of shoving a 302/t5 in it. Runs pretty good, chasing down a strange vibration at 40-50 mph, had the driveshaft high speed balanced but theres def a bad drone in the car from the driveshaft.

the real problem is when the transmission sits for any long period of time, even if the engine is up to temp before i take off it likes to hang in first until i rev it hard and back off the throttle. It'll shift into 2nd. Then it proceeds to get stuck in 2nd unless i manually shift it into 1st even after coming to a standstill. The fluid was super clean in it when i got the car, i had reciepts from a reseal done on the trans where it was pulled, resealed and reinstalled about a year prior to my ownership. Ive flushed the trans, changed the filter, checked the shift cable. its smooth and not hanging up cold. Once i go through the trouble of a few manual 1 to 2 high rpm shifts and manually shifting back to 1st to start off its perfect. Just came back from a 800mi round trip and it was perfect once i got past the initial morning shifting hiccups. Trans mileage is unknown. odometer works and reads 192K.

Thanks for any suggestions!
