Your 1994 940 turbo should have 2 fuel pumps - one underneath the car and one in-tank. Your 1995 940 turbo has only one fuel pump - in-tank. Both cars use same fuel relay so they are interchangeable.
Small things to look for before getting on the big project..
1) Check your fuses (yes you covered this before but..) make sure their contacts are SHINY and not blown of course. Check especially Fuses 1 and 11. Fuse 1 - this supplies your ECU and FUEL RELAY, then Fuse 11 - supplies power to fuel pump.
2) Check your fuel pump relay (ok done that).
3) Check your radio suppression relay (RSR) in the engine bay. This relay powers the fuel injectors. Faulty relay --> no injectors --> no fuel.
4) Check your fuel pump electrical connections UNDERNEATH the car. This is for 1994 turbo. With time the rubber/silicone insulations may have disintegrated. Clean them then connect back.
5) Check your battery for FULL charge. With weak battery the starter may take too much power away from the ECU and unable to power the fuel relay. This is KNOWN issue in 940 Regina version, nevertheless a good point to check in Bosch version.
The Bosch LH 2.4 has fuel system prime function. You should hear the fuel pumps "whirr" for a while when key in position II if they are ok.
