Replace hand brake cable 700 1990

Hi - my hand brake cable broke at the lug that holds it in place right at the hand brake lever itself. I have removed the center console and see it broken and I see where the cable shoots down the tube and then under the car I see it go to each wheel. But I don't see where it splits in two directions to go to each wheel.

Is it a difficult job to replace cable?
