Hey Dan,

I don't recall anyone posting anything the least bit credible claiming they've had inferior windshield glass installed on their 240. Lots of rants against unsatisfactory installers, but you know how those go. I've only used two in our little fleet, both 91+ style, one a Pilkington and the other I can't recall. The word "diamond" comes to mind. The installs were done well (no extra charge for my supervision) and so the results made me happy.

My recommendation is to do the prep yourself if you are able, so that you can spend the time to fix any rust and completely remove the old butyl rubber.
