I've had two vehicles that provides mpg data on the dash and both were inaccurate. They were "optimistic" when compared to gallons used per mile driven.

One was a 2003 Audi Allroad and the other is a 2005 Chevy Silverado.

Yes, they had OE tires on them and I keep a log of fuel used and miles driven so I have plenty of data.
