alt conversion and push button ignition 120-130 1968

Glad to be able to help. Often I cannot when it comes to electrical issues.

As for the toggle... I'd sure like a 3 position switch for that.. perhaps down for accessory, up for accessory + ignition. If ever you want accessories but not engine, having the ignition on can be a good way to blow up your coil. If the motor is off but ignition is on, and the points are closed (or is it open? I forget), the coil will over heat, possibly to the point of literally blowing up, exploding.

I thought it was a gun shot when I left the ignition on in a 544 and forgot about it and took a nap... then wondered why the car wouldn't start...
