The idle air control valve may just need a good cleaning with carb cleaner, keep the solvent out of the motor end of the IAC.

The lack of power may be a failed AMM this is a symptom of that, the only way to really test that is to swap in a known good one. ebay or a junk yard is your best bet, stay away from rebuilds.
