Quick Ignition question 700 1990

If you are positive it it the ignition switch at fault, that is the correct part.

So the symptoms are literally nothing happens in KPIII most of the them time and then suddenly it works?

I would first check the neutral safety switch. To check, move the gear selector to N and try starting then move the shifter back and forth tiny amounts with the key still in KPIII.
