I have never heard of a PV being built in Canada but there is at least on source on the web that says they were. I have seen a few 122's built in Canada and there is a plate below the data plate that said 'Made in Canada' with a maple leaf.

The type code would tell you where it was built. The type code would be something like 11244F (where the first '4' denotes a US delivery car). If that first '4' were a '9' then it would be a kit that was built outside of Sweden.
