noise from pulley when switched to A/C or Defrost? 700 1990

Hi Everyone,

Still doing a lot of learning with my Volvo (1990 740 Turbo Wagon), and noticed that when I have the air switched to the A/C or the Front Defrost, there is an intermittent noise that comes from the front end. Looked under the hood and noticed there's a pulley spinning when it happens. I also get a little bump in my RPM's when it happens.

Is this normal, or is there something wrong?
