My 1997 965 set that code until I had my indie shop (TAP-VPI on Hazlehurst in Houston) to look at it. It's been a year or three, but I don't recall there being a huge thing to repair.

Since the carbon adsorption thing was moved after the 1997 model year to a new location under the floor under the front passenger seat, you might have a look at the hoses to and from that thing. I hear that the open ended hose attracts enterprising flying insects just'a lookin' for a home!

Some vacuum lines are white nylon(?) with elbows and connectors from rubber - which gets cracked and leaky.

Good Luck,

Bob

PS Looking at your screen handle, wonder are you in the Houston area?
