$85/hr is not excessive for a professionally made anything.Have you ever tried to bend steel tubing with out a mandrel bender? I purchased a tubing stretcher to fit one pipe over an other using an pneumatic gun, cost $75. There's no problem bending a 2" pipe over the axle if you have the skill and equipment. I've made my own exhaust systems but my efforts can't compare to work done in a shop.
