Control arm stay bushing question 900

I have a 1993 940 turbo wagon.

I want to replace the cone shaped stay bushings on the front suspension.
The catalogs list two different part numbers for the bushings depending on how long the control arm stay is.

could be 385 mm, 390, etc.

How do you measure the length of the rod?

Thanks
