Manual conversion question '74 142 140-160

Hi guys,

I've got a 1974 142 GL coming, and it's got an auto tranny. I believe I have all the parts needed, but I'm hoping someone can clarify fitment.

1. Do I need a pedal box from a 1974 140, or can it be from an earlier car- or from a 240, for that matter?

2. Can I re-use the tranny cross-member, or do I need a different one? Which years will fit?

3. Will a driveshaft from an early 140 fit, or do I need one from a 74 140 or from a 240?

4. Just out of interest, what rear end end ratio can I expect to find in this car?

5. Any typical problem areas with k-jet?

Thanks!!

Rob
