About 12 years ago I bought a used Crane (I think it still has an Allison sticker on it) and put it on the PV along with a big old style Mallory coil, and it's been there ever since without the slightest hiccup. Every once in a while I hook a timing light up to it, right where it should be, steady as a rock, no change.
