Hi
I recently bought a buffer from Sears on sale for about $39.95 and used it on my dark gray 240. First, though, I used claybar and then used Mothers Gold with the buffer. ( it is the kind of buffer that you almost literally cannot mess up. The car looks like glass. Now, it is garaged and the paint has never suffered much from the sun or elements. If you have never used claybar, get some. My guys in the detail shop ( here at Mercedes-Benz and Lexus where I spent 13 years) that is what the better ,older guys use. Claybar takes off old oxidation and unwanted elements, then the shine/protection step. Good luck and ...get out the sunglasses!
