I just want to share that I reinstalled my carpet and rear seats last night. I used SEM Color Coat to darken the carpet. Not a dye or paint, it goes on like paint and then I brushed the pile and lightly sprayed once more. It looks like new and my brick is a 1990. I also used the same product to "paint" the door pockets and the boxes that house the ratchet for the rear shoulder harnesses.
Now, I need to rebuild the driver's seat. I need a lower cushion. I may even spray the seats although the contrast is really nice. ( tan original and darker camel carpet....but when used on plastic, it is much lighter...)Someday, when I learn how, I will post pictures for all to see. I am very excited about my 240 being almost ready to drive again. It is hard to beleive that I will probably continue to garage the Volvo and leave the Lexus outside. My wife sure won't give up her side of the garage. Also, if anybody cares, I am installing a few "motorcycle" lights around inside as I put the car together to lighten-up the otherwise dark interior. These are the little halogen chrome (barrel)-shaped lights and they fit into a 1/4 inch hole you drill and then wire it up. It makes a neat interior kind of like the newer cars of today. I also am putting a couple in the trunk.
