Bleeding '93 wIth ABS - Am I Missing Something?

I'm no stranger to working on 240 brakes. I've done it all over 30 years - pads, rotors, calipers, master cylinders, hard lines and hoses

But, I recently did the brakes on a '93 and, for the first time, I had to open the hydraulics of a ABS system (front calipers).

I was happy to see that the Bentley bleeding procedure was not the ballet required for a non-ABS system, so I initially power bled the system twice just to make sure. After that, the brakes gripped well and the ABS worked fine, but the pedal seemed a little "soft".

So, I bled the system again. The pedal still seems "soft".

Two questions -

1/ Are the ABS systems more difficult to bleed?

2/ Are there any bleeding procedures for the ABS cars which do not show up in the Bentley?

Thanks, one and all,

Rich
