I took some 1/2 inch foam pipe insulation, zip ties, foil backed foam tape, and foil duct tape to my daughters 740. I insulated the "cold side" going into the firewall all the way back to the compressor and wrapped the dryer like a lunar module. It helped quite a bit she says. My question is, would it help more if I insulated the other line as well coming out of the firewall, or would it matter enough to do it, or would it hinder the performance? I have plenty of supplies and piddling with the old car is a hobby.
