the dreaded code 1-1-3 200 1989

This would be my plan:

(1) be sure 113 is the only code; it rarely is.

(2) check the fuel pressure regulator (FPR) vacuum hose for gasoline indicating a leaky diaphragm.

(3) reset the computer by briefly removing the 25A blade fuse and see if the code(s) come back. Keep in mind limp-home (emergency mix) is very rich.

(4) If the codes return, check the oxygen sensor's heater operation and then monitor its voltage output from cold to well warmed.

(5) Check the engine coolant temperature (ECT) sensor's operation.

(6) Examine plugs to see if one points to a leaky injector.
