I hate jack stands

I hate to have to point this out, but your wife is right.

The slab is 6" thick, 4000 psi mix, with rebar (and radient heat). Challenger calls for 4" minimum, 3500 psi mix with steel reinforcement. The insertion depth for the anchors are 3 1/2".

The columns are 13' 6" tall, but the top of my Volvo is a couple feet from the shut off bar when the lift is all the way up. I paid $1000 for it, used. It makes every job about 10 times easier.
