The glass guy I used to replace the windscreens after I painted used a cord.

He also struggled mightily getting it in there and he was a strong dude.

But then he said, I don't think that'll be leaking. It is tight! And it has not leaked.

I bought my seals from IPD or VP. They were thick but very new smelling and pliable.
