I think B230 head gasket life runs anywhere from 200,000 to 250,000 miles. Overheating may not blow the head gasket immediately, but it will shorten it's life. I think it is a matter of an aluminum head on a cast iron block. Cast iron heads on cast iron blocks give far less trouble.
