Yes, I see what your talking about.
I've done some research and have come up with some sensors that will work. I think that the stock sensor for a D-jet is really small, but if you are going to drill and tap some new threads, then there is plenty of sensors that will work for you.
A thread size of 3/8" x 18 NPT is a pretty standard sensor size. I would stay with a brass or stainless sensor. Stay away from aluminum ones.
