Rust 700

I'm bummed. My mechanic told me the rust on the floor and sub-frame of my 88 740 Wagon was beyond bad and the car should be taken out of commission. So, much to his dismay, I told him to replace the bad tie rod anyway, never to mention this subject again, and I went on to think about how nicer things such as a new inspection sticker.... A Massachusetts certified car inspector told me my car was un-safe with the old tie rod... He never mentioned the missing floor and swiss cheese subframe (maybe inner rocker.. I don't know). A certified inspector would never be wrong and who am I to argue...

I really like this friggin car. I don't want to put it down. I live in Boston..Does anyone know of a body shop/ guy who has sucessfully repaired this type of damage? Joe Schmoe down the road would probably be willing to do it but I'd rather go with someone with a little experience. I'm sure I'm too cheap to fix the problem and I'm sure it isn't worth it, but I feel I have to make this last ditch effort. Please share any info you have on this topic too.. Thanks!!!
