How to Test Oxygen Sensor for 95 944 900 1995

first of all it a long known fact gas mileage disappoints in the very cold months and this winter is surely that.

the easiest way to determine if your sensor is kaput or on its way is to disconnect all of the sensor connectors at the firewall. i am pretty sure you have a heated sensor which means you have at least 3 wires coming out of the sensor.....the information wire and 2 heater wires. you might even have 4 wires.

to disconnect it you MUST disconnect all of the wires not just the information wire.

your engine will default to running rich. if the car mileage is the same it is likely the sensor is faulty.

the other way of testing is too measure voltage swings after the sensor is FULLY warmed up by intercepting the signal coming out of the single wire. ...range .2-.9 and FAST swings.
