Blower Replacement - Modified Chainsaw Method 200

I've hated that pitch but I went with the remote lubrication method that's out there on the source pages and it became bearable enough for over a year now. Sometimes it's quiet, sometimes it's faint noise. It's where you open the center dashboard stack, drill the holes on each side of the grey plastic enclosure, and reach through them to the motor shaft with the oil. I used oversized screw caps to close the drilled holes instead of gluing plastic patches as the instructions say.

I can't get myself to commit to pull all that nightmare apart to replace the motor.
