Brake fluid leak

Hi John,

The fact you could tighten it reveals something. One, that you'll probably be able to loosen it without difficulty, and two, the bubble flare may have cracked at the nut side. I guess you will have to pull it to see, whether the line's flare is cracked or the octopus is a rusty mess inside at the port's seat. No way to tell without looking, as far as I know.

If you decide to replace the octopus, depending on year and model of your car, there may be less expensive options.
