Testing temp sending unit ..

I read Steve Ringlee's method of testing the sending unit, using a resistor.

I just wondered if there is a way to do this with a meter. My meter checks resistance, and a bevy of other things ..and it is handy.

It is a scary thing when the wife calls and asks "Did you say it's just as bad for the gauge to read nothing?". Arrrgh! I just rebuilt the head and I was about to have a heart attack, so I calmed myself and asked her nicely to turn the motor OFFF!!!!

Thank God it was not getting hot ..at all. Now to track down what is going on. :) It is a 94 940. Please chime in with any pointers to help soothe the ole nerves.

Thanks
