ECT replacement - both engine temp sensors the same/compatible? 700

1. There are two different types of ECTs based on year. Black and blue.

2. The ECT is located more towards the rear of the motor. Hard to see. Kinda under the 3rd intake manifold runner.
3. What ever color yours is, thats the one you need.
4. The first part you ordered is the temperature gauge sensor(they are different) and not interchangable.
5. Flush doesn't mean anything just tight is good.
6. To get the ECT off without removing the intake manifold. Get a deep well socket, size I can't recall. It will not go on completely with an extension, but its not that tight.
(since FCP changed their website, lots of parts don't show up. call them)
