I am working on my odomter. I replaced the bad gear, it worked for a week or so and is not stopped again. The speedometer is still working. I changed out the head with an unknown unit from an 86 (mine is an 88 with the rest).

If my Speedometer still works do I know, 100%, that the board or motor is my problem?
