front spoiler

Has anyone had any luck with putting the front spoiler back on the plastic bumper? There is a cheap little tab of plastic that usually holds it on. This however broke off and now i'm wondering the best way to put it back on.
Should I drill a hole into the bottom of the spoiler straight down and hopefully get a long screw and nut on there, or is this a hopeless cause and i should try and find a new one. any help would be appreciated.
