Voltage stabilizer replacement - 10v? 140-160 1971

I'm in the process of replacing the voltage stabilizer on my instrument panel in my 1971 164. Does anyone know if it's a 10v or 5v supply to the panel? I think it's 10v but I believe I read some where that earlier models were 5v? Found this PDF which covers pretty much what I want to do:

http://home.mindspring.com/~purlawson/files/SmithsVoltageStabilizer.pdf

I already have the panel out of the car, the stabilizer off, and I have the parts to do it - I just want to make sure I replace the old mechanical one with one of the same voltage. I think my old one is broken (hence the replacement) so I dont have a way of testing the voltage on it.

Thanks!
