update... 140-160 1971

So today with advice from one of the head guys of my local volvo club, I ran 12v power directly to the fuel pump. Un-hooked the pump and pulled it from the car, ran power and ground to it. Nothing, after taking it apart again I took a rubber mallet to it and beat the crap out of it. It then decided to turn on but not pump which was bizare, I primed it and ran it from a jerry can into a bucket. I beat it some more and finally it started pumping pretty good. I blew out the line from the tank to the pump for good measure, hooked things back up and had fuel pumping from the tank and then checked it at under the hood. still couldn't get the beast running, pulled the battery to charge it. Was getting low from all the cranking the last week, so we'll see on tuesday if that does it. If not I'll have to see if I'm getting spark and go from there. Pretty sure I am since the plugs are new and things fired up beautifully when I changed them a few months ago.

At least I solved the fuel delivery issue hopefully, will let you know what happens. Thanks for all the sugestions and help.

Chris
